The private Canadian company Camoplast acquired the Luxembourg based company Groupe Solideal in 2010 to become Camoplast Solideal. Around 2015 they rebranded themselves to become known as the simpler, shorter name of Camso. Camso was acquired by Michelin in late 2018 as a means to stengthen their position in the speciality tyre industry.
